Hoarding disorder can cause problems in relationships, social and work activities, and other important areas of functioning. Potential consequences of serious hoarding include health and safety concerns, such as fire hazards, tripping hazards, and health code violations. It can also lead to family strain and conflicts, isolation and loneliness, unwillingness to have anyone else enter the home, and an inability to perform daily tasks, such as cooking and bathing.
Our staff are fully trained to manage this sensitive service which can in some circumstances be carried out with the client in attendance.
At A.R.C. Trauma Cleaning we ensure the property is emptied, cleaned and returned in a safe and hygienic state. All items to be removed are agreed and confirmed, and photographs are taken of all the areas particularly when dealing with a deceased hoarder.
We use specialised products to sanitise and clean the affected surfaces and areas, removing the potential for contamination.
Our staff are trained and vaccinated appropriately for this type of work.
We are a registered waste carrier, and any hazardous waste will be taken for safe disposal.
